Baseball Recap: Central Holmes Christian Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Central Holmes Christian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Deer Creek Warriors by a score of 4-1. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Warriors last Thursday, they had to take a 14-1 defeat.

Logan Engle was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Central Holmes Christian pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Deer Creek, their record is now 1-4.

Coming up, Central Holmes Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Benton Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. Deer Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
