Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Cardinal Mooney couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 10-4 to the Waynedale Golden Bears on Wednesday. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Ford Stacy was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Kaden Reese, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Cardinal Mooney's loss dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Waynedale, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-3.
