Volleyball Recap: Rancho Christian Eagles vs. Oaks Christian Lions
Rancho Christian and Oaks Christian squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Rancho Christian had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Oaks Christian Lions. The shutout was out of character for the Eagles seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-19.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brighton Richards, who had 13 digs.
Among those leading the charge was Hannah Brady, who had ten digs.
Rancho Christian moved to 21-5 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak. As for Oaks Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.
Rancho Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oaks Christian, they will square off against La Canada at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. La Canada is coming into the match with seven straight victories on the road, so Oaks Christian will have to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
