Recap: HA Prep Academy Kings vs. Lab University Prep Lab Rats
This season hasn't been kind to the HA Prep Academy Kings, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They took a 81-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lab University Prep on Saturday. While losing is never fun, HA Prep Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while Lab University Prep is ranked seventh).
Lab University Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Strickland, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antwan Corbin, who scored 14 points.
HA Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lab University Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
HA Prep Academy will head out on the road to face off against DC International at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lab University Prep will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Providence Day at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th.
