Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grand Haven). They breezed past the West Ottawa Panthers to the tune of 66-24 on Friday. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Panthers are ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Grand Haven and bumps their season record up to 15-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 42 points. As for West Ottawa, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Haven will take on East Kentwood at 5:30 p.m. on February 21st. As for West Ottawa, they will venture away from home to challenge Forest Hills Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. West Ottawa is facing Forest Hills Central at the right time seeing as Forest Hills Central is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
