Baseball Game Preview: Knightdale Knights vs. Rolesville Rams

Knightdale is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 11-0 to Cary.

Meanwhile, Rolesville waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Storm. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since April 25, 2024.

Cooper Redfern spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Rolesville let Jayshawn Richardson and Logan Daniel run wild. Richardson went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI, while Daniel scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Richardson a new career-high.

Knightdale's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Rolesville, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
