They fell just short of Mesrobian by a score of 61-58 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Lancers have suffered since December 21, 2023.

Meanwhile, Weed strolled past Eagle Point with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 75-59. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cougars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 388th in California, while the Eagles are ranked 58th in Oregon).

Avalon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Weed, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
