Basketball Recap: Lake Comes Up Short

Lake had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped down to 0-3 to make it five. The contest between the Hornets and the Forest Bearcats didn't end well, with the Hornets falling 51-35. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 43-40 to the Bearcats when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Among those leading the charge was Jayden Graham, who posted 11 points. Ahmad Summers was another key player, putting up eight points.

Coming up, Lake will be playing in front of their home fans against Pisgah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forest, they will venture away from home to face off against Leake Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bearcats will need to watch out since the Gators have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
