Basketball Recap: Cayden Meank's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chilton County over Thompson + How To Watch

Chilton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 87-71 bruising from the Thompson Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 100-79 back in November.

Chilton County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cayden Meank, who shot 47% from the field en route to 27 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Simon, who posted eight points.

Chilton County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Thompson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Coming up, Chilton County will head out on the road to take on Briarwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Lions have now posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups. As for Thompson, they will welcome Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Buccaneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.73 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
