Softball Recap: Raegan Wanstead and Lilly Felsk Secure Win for Pine River Area

Pine River Area had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Roscommon on Friday. Pine River Area never let Roscommon get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for Pine River Area, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Lilly Felsk and Raegan Wanstead did most of the damage at the plate: Felsk went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Wanstead got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Felsk has posted over her last 12 contests. Another player making a difference was Sabrena Cutler, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Pine River Area's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Roscommon, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
