Softball Recap: Ursuline Academy Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Ursuline Academy's offense. They came up short against the St. Scholastica Doves on Thursday, falling 15-0. The Lions' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Ursuline Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shelby Culotta, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Ursuline Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Scholastica, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ursuline Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Belle Chasse at 5:00 p.m. on March 10th. St. Scholastica will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Episcopal at 4:30 p.m. on March 11th.
