Soccer Recap: Richmond Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Richmond can now relate to. They lost 7-3 to the New Palestine Dragons on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Richmond can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while New Palestine are ranked 31st).

Mira Hasecoster and Kashawn Ferris Craig scored all three of Richmond's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-2. As for New Palestine, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-2 record this season.

Richmond does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Palestine, they will square off against East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
