James Wood had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Handley on Friday. The Colonels' pitchers stepped up to hand the Judges an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Colonels have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was James Wood's fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Handley, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
