Football Game Preview: Plainfield Quakers vs. Martinsville Artesians

Two dominant backs in Luke Starnes and Lucas Dewey are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Plainfield Quakers will be playing at home against the Martinsville Artesians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Plainfield and Whiteland, and Whiteland kept the tradition alive. The Quakers fell 30-20 to the Warriors on Friday.

Meanwhile, Martinsville ended up a good deal behind Mooresville on Friday and lost 31-17.

Although Martinsville took the loss, they still got scores from Dewey and Chase Davis.

Martinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Plainfield, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Plainfield was able to grind out a solid win over Martinsville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 50-37. Do the Quakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Artesians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
