Siegel had won seven straight games and Camryn Faulk did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Stars came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Cookeville Cavaliers thanks in part to Faulk, who had 28 digs and seven assists. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Siegel got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 24-26, 26-16, 22-25, 15-12.

Loss or not, Cookeville got some senior leadership from Ella Hardin and Chloe Sexton. Hardin had 13 digs and three aces, while Sexton had 21 digs and two aces. Those 21 digs set a new season-high mark for Sexton.

Siegel's win bumped their record up to 20-14. As for Cookeville, their defeat ended an eight-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-11.

Looking ahead, Siegel will host Eagleville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cookeville, they will challenge Smyrna at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
