There's no place like home for Jefferson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against the Hedgesville Eagles by a score of 48-39 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Eagles last Wednesday, they had to take a 49-46 defeat.

Hedgesville lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jovie Graham, who went 6-for-10 en route to 15 points and six boards. Those 15 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rylee Bodkins, who posted 11 points and three blocks.

Jefferson's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 3-12. As for Hedgesville, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

When Jefferson and Hedgesville next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Jefferson will take on East Fairmont and their six-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Hedgesville will try to stop Keyser's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
