Boardman extended their winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from Gianna Commons. Everything went the Spartans' way against the Hathaway Brown Blazers on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Commons, who had ten digs and five aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last ten times she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Boardman took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13, 25-10.

Boardman's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Hathaway Brown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Boardman will take on Louisville in a tournament on Tuesday. Hathaway Brown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
