Volleyball Recap: Michaela Slayman and Adella Coblentz Secure Win for Lake

Lake hadn't done well against Green recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Blue Streaks put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Blue Streaks: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on September 2nd, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

Lake didn't let Green take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 27-25, 25-23.

Leading Lake to victory were Adella Coblentz and Michaela Slayman. Coblentz had nine digs, while Slayman had 18 assists and four digs. That's the most assists Slayman has posted since back in August. Ayla Filisky also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Lake's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. As for Green, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
