Baseball Recap: Velma-Alma Takes a Loss

Velma-Alma was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lexington Bulldogs. The Comets were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Velma-Alma's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Velma-Alma didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Cyril on the 14th. As for Lexington, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-2 victory against Minco on the 13th.
