Softball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Grand County Red Devils, falling 20-1. On the bright side, the one- run effort marked the Buckaroo's highest-scoring matchup to date.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Grand County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monticello will venture away from home to face off against Pinnacle at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grand County, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on San Juan at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
