Basketball Game Preview: Columbus Sailors vs. Dike-New Hartford Wolverines

Columbus hasn't had much luck against Dike-New Hartford recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Columbus Sailors will get right back to it and host the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines at 6:15 p.m. Columbus has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Columbus turned things around against New Hampton on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Chickasaws out 50-48.

Meanwhile, Dike-New Hartford ended up a good deal behind Denver on Friday and lost 53-37. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Cyclones are ranked 32nd).

Columbus' win bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Dike-New Hartford, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
