Softball Recap: Phoebus Comes Up Short

Phoebus fell victim to Menchville and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 19-0 to the Monarchs. The Phantoms were not able to make up for their loss to the Monarchs from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

This is the second loss in a row for Phoebus and nudges their season record down to 12-9-1. As for Menchville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Menchville will head out on the road to take on Kecoughtan at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Phoebus will be paying especially close attention to the Monarchs' contest: after the Monarchs face off against the Warriors, they'll take on Phoebus again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
