Soccer Recap: Northville Find Success

Northville proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by five) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Oxford Wildcats 1-0. Given Northville's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 33rd, while Oxford are ranked 91st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northville has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five matches. As for Oxford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northville will square off against Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northville are facing Stevenson at the right time seeing as Stevenson are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Oxford, they will take on Novi at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
