Volleyball Recap: Baxter Springs Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Baxter Springs duked it out with Lyndon on Saturday. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

While Baxter Springs ultimately came up short, they really made Lyndon work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 26-24.

Sadie Miller paced Baxter Springs' offense, picking up nine kills. Miller got some help from Sam Sheffer and her 16 assists.

Baxter Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 15-7. As for Lyndon, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.

Baxter Springs has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against McLouth on the 27th. As for Lyndon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Oswego on the 27th.
