Toll Gate suffers eighth straight loss on the road

Recap: Toll Gate Titans vs. Middletown Islanders

The Toll Gate Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 70-49 defeat at the hands of Middletown. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Toll Gate in their matchups with Middletown: they've now lost three in a row.

Toll Gate's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Perreault , who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 rebounds. Perreault set a new season high mark in steals with three. Another player making a difference was Brayden Healey, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.

Even though they lost, Toll Gate were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Toll Gate bumped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Middletown, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Lincoln the next time they take the court. Middletown will head out to face Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Toll Gate will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
