Basketball Game Preview: Westover Patriots vs. Bible Baptist Christian Wolves

The Westover Patriots will take on the Bible Baptist Christian Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Westover has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Westover is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Terrell County: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Westover blew Terrell County out of the water with an 88-42 final score. That looming 88-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Patriots yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westover to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jalen Holmes, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points. Holmes is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aden Reese, who posted ten points in addition to five assists and five boards.

Westover was working as a unit and finished the game with 25 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Bible Baptist Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Atlanta.

Westover has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Bible Baptist Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 16-4.
