The Dixie Hornets's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past Ware Shoals with points to spare, taking the game 40-26. That's another feather in the cap for Dixie, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Dixie found their leader in underclassman Jaylia Turner, who scored 22 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Georgia Wojtkowski, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Dixie pushed their record up to 6-9 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Ware Shoals, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dixie will take on Calhoun Falls Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calhoun Falls Charter will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Ware Shoals, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind at 5:30 p.m. South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
