Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Saint Joseph walked away with it. They never let the Aliso Niguel Wolverines get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Thursday. This was payback for the Jesters, who suffered an 8-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The result came thanks to Camila Quiroz's shutout, as she gave up just two hits.

At the plate, Mariah Becerra was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Jazmine Medrano was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Saint Joseph's win bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Aliso Niguel, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-13.

Coming up, Saint Joseph will face off against Moorpark at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Jesters 3.3, the Musketeers 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Aliso Niguel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
