South Laurel had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Bell County Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-4 back in April.

The team relied heavily on Bryson Turner, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

South Laurel's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.25 runs across that stretch. As for Bell County, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-9.

Coming up, South Laurel will venture away from home to square off against Knox Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bell County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
