Vassar had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came out on top against the Bridgeport Bearcats by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Vulcans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Vassar's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Bridgeport, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Vassar will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Laker at 7:15 p.m. on September 11. As for Bridgeport, they will take on Carrollton at 6:30 p.m. on September 2.
