Volleyball Recap: Aurora Takes a Loss

Aurora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Hollister Tigers, falling 3-0. If the Houn Dawgs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Aurora was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-17.

Aurora's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Hollister, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 26-4-1.

Aurora didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Cassville on the 14th. As for Hollister, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Springfield Catholic on the 14th.
