The Heritage Christian Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 60-38 defeat at the hands of Westside Christian Academy. Heritage Christian was down 48-27 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Westside Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trent Douglass, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Taylor, who scored 18 points along with four steals.

Heritage Christian's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Westside Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.
