Baseball Recap: Bloomington North Comes Up Short

Bloomington North has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging three runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against the Hamilton Southeastern Royals, falling 11-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Saturday.

Bloomington North saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Liam Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Bloomington North and nudges their season record down to 8-5. As for Hamilton Southeastern, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Bloomington North will host Bedford North Lawrence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they will venture away from home to challenge Lawrence North at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
