Recap: Dublin Fighting Irish vs. Twiggs County Cobras
The Dublin Fighting Irish gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over Twiggs County. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Dublin also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2021.
Dublin had a senior duo take command as Nasir Johnson scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds and Martravius O?neal scored 8 points along with 3 steals. Javion Harris was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
When it comes to explaining why Twiggs County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Daniel Pitts. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points.
Dublin's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Twiggs County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Dublin will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Laurens at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully West Laurens focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 last Tuesday. As for Twiggs County, they will head out on the road to face off against Crawford County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
