Soccer Recap: Clements Comes Up Short

Clements lost against East Limestone back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the East Limestone Indians who were credited with the win. The East Limestone Indians got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Clements Colts' one. One thing that didn't help the Colts' chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Jesus Perez.

This is the second loss in a row for Clements and nudges their season record down to 2-7-1. As for East Limestone, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clements will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Elkmont at 7:00 p.m. on March 31st. East Limestone also won't see the pitch for a while: their next contest is against Brooks at 7:00 p.m. on April 1st.
