Mark Smith jr leads a balanced attack to beat Drew

Recap: McIntosh Chiefs vs. Drew

There's no place like home for the McIntosh Chiefs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They blew past Drew 60-38. Given McIntosh's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Drew is ranked 491st), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

McIntosh got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mark Smith jr out in front who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith jr has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Landon Dolhancyk, who scored 13 points.

McIntosh has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. As for Drew, their defeat was their 20th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-12.

McIntosh won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northside at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Northside is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
