Volleyball Recap: Freeman's Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games

It was a good run, but Freeman unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Elmwood-Murdock Knights by a score of 3-2. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Alicia Johansen paced Freeman's offense, picking up 18 kills. Johansen got some help from Aniston Bartunek and her 45 assists. Bartunek was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Freeman's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Elmwood-Murdock, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

Freeman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Auburn on the 16th. As for Elmwood-Murdock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Johnson County Central on the 16th.
