Martin County picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 100-72 win over Phelps. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Floyd Central entered their tilt with Betsy Layne on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 63-56. The game was the first time the Jaguars have beaten the Bobcats on their court since February 27, 2024.

Floyd Central's win came from a few key players Martin County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lucas Howard, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played.
