Volleyball Recap: Stark Falls Short Against Ranked Salem

Stark faced Salem in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Generals took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils. The Generals haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Stark's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Salem, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stark will head out to challenge Hollis-Brookline at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Generals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Salem, they will face off against Souhegan at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
