Softball Recap: Larkin Comes Up Short

Larkin lost against Addison Trail back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Larkin fell 4-1 to Addison Trail. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mackenzie Wemken spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Ali Herrick was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Larkin now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Addison Trail, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Larkin is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Ridgewood at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Addison Trail, they will head out to face off against Bolingbrook at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
