Baseball Recap: Gilroy Mustangs vs. Oak Grove Eagles
It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Gilroy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Oak Grove Eagles 10-9. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Mitchell Friebel made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Friebel was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
