Baseball Recap: Dillon Christian's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

After a string of four wins, Dillon Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 11-6 to the Williamsburg Academy Stallions. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 14-4 to the Stallions when the teams met back in March of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gray Easterling was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Dillon Christian: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Blackmon, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Dillon Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Williamsburg Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

While Dillon Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
