Basketball Recap: Nixon-Smiley's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Nixon-Smiley won the last time they faced Waelder and things went their way on Friday too. The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs strolled past the Waelder Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 63-49.

Nixon-Smiley's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8. As for Waelder, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nixon-Smiley will challenge Randolph at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Randolph will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Nixon-Smiley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Waelder, they will face off against East Bernard at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
