Soccer Recap: Griswold Comes Up Short

Griswold came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to the New London Whalers. While losing is never fun, Griswold can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while New London are ranked 16th).

Griswold now has a losing record of 3-4. As for New London, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1-1.

Coming up, Griswold will challenge St. Bernard at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for New London, they will take on Waterford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
