Basketball Recap: Muncie Burris Comes Up Short

Muncie Burris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 81-43 loss at the hands of the Lapel Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 147th).

Brode B Judge was his usual excellent self, going 9 of 17 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds for Lapel. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Kenemer, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Muncie Burris' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lapel, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Monroe Central the next time they take the court. Muncie Burris will head out to face Monroe Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Lapel will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
