Volleyball Recap: Garces Memorial Comes Up Short

Garces Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bakersfield Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 7th.

Garces Memorial took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-17, 16-14.

Garces Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Bakersfield Christian, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-8.

As of now, neither Garces Memorial nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
