Softball Recap: Miami Springs Takes a Loss

Miami Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-1 to the Miami Beach Hi-Tides, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hi-Tides this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in February.

Khrystine Gil was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Miami Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Miami Beach, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Miami Springs will take on American at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Miami Beach, they will square off against Goleman at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
