New Holstein has gone 8-2 against Sheboygan Falls recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. New Holstein is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
New Holstein is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Roncalli on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-1 victory. The Huskies have beaten the Jets the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Jets has come to flipping the script.
Makayla Meyer made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jenna Horn, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Manderscheid, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
New Holstein always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roncalli only posted an OBP of .111.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan Falls lost 8-1 to Two Rivers on Tuesday. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sheboygan Falls saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Thill, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Sheboygan Falls now has a losing record of 2-3. As for New Holstein, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Everything went New Holstein's way against Sheboygan Falls in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as New Holstein made off with a 17-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
