Sandy Creek has no trouble against Copenhagen

The Sandy Creek Comets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 23 points or more this season. They blew past Copenhagen 70-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sandy Creek also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Despite the loss, Copenhagen still got an impressive performance from Samuel Carroll, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Carroll is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aydan Sheitz, who scored nine points.

Sandy Creek's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Copenhagen, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Sandy Creek will head out on the road to face off against Lyme Central at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lyme Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New York Rankings (they are ranked 833rd, while Sandy Creek is ranked 269th). As for Copenhagen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Belleville Henderson Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Belleville Henderson Central and Copenhagen are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
