Recap: Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils vs. Shippensburg Greyhounds
There's no place like home for The Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over Shippensburg on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Greencastle-Antrim, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Greencastle-Antrim was led to victory by Logan Alvey and Carter Mccauley. Alvey threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, while Mccauley picked up 58 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Although Shippensburg took the loss, they still got scores from Janye statum and Patrick Eichelberger.
Greencastle-Antrim's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.3 points per game. As for Shippensburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Greencastle-Antrim will head out on the road to face off against South Western at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Western will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Shippensburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
